ERUUF is a member of Durham CAN. All who have any interest in Durham CAN activities are welcome, whether just for curiosity or desire to get involved.  Due to the current climate, there is a higher level of energy within and around CAN, which makes the assembly gatherings very interesting.  As members or friends of ERUUF, you are considered a leader in CAN.  Contact Cindy Henshaw or Amassa Fauntleroy for more information about ERUUF's participation in CAN.

From Durham CAN: Join hundreds of delegates from CAN member institutions for a public meeting with decision makers as we cast and act on a new vision for the Hayti community. During this public meeting, CAN will demand an accountability report from the CEO of the Durham Housing Authority on the acquisition of Fayette Place (19 acre, largest vacant and blighted parcel of land in Durham) and its use for the construction of affordable housing for teachers, police officers, firefighters, first responders, nurses, bank tellers and others who are being priced out of Durham.

The CEO of Campus Apartments has also been invited to report to CAN Delegates. CAN will demand a place at the table in the designing of future construction. Additionally, neighborhood leaders will bring to the attention of decision makers the stories and findings of their most recent neighborhood audit.
