For Unitarian Universalists, developing our own belief system built on core values is a challenging but rewarding experience that, frankly, never ends. We often refer to ourselves as "seekers" rather than "finders".
In Unitarian Universalism, you can bring your whole self: your full identity, your questioning mind, your expansive heart.
Together, we create a force more powerful than one person or one belief system. As Unitarian Universalists, we do not have to check our personal background and beliefs at the door: we join together on a journey that honors everywhere we’ve been before.
Our beliefs are diverse and inclusive. We have no shared creed. Our shared covenant (our seven Principles) supports “the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.” Though Unitarianism and Universalism were both liberal Christian traditions, this responsible search has led us to embrace diverse teachings from Eastern and Western religions and philosophies.
As we grow and evolve as adults, we learn more that adds to our understanding of ourselves, and the world around us. We have no dogma that tells us what to believe as answers to the big questions. We, therefore, must build our own theology - one that may differ from that of another member.
ERUUF is a place where people join together to make a difference in this world, in our local communities and in the world community. This is a faith community that encourages you to see your own spiritual path, wherever it leads.
