Sister Communities of San Ramon, Nicaragua (SCSRN)
SCSRN was founded at ERUUF in 1993 and has been active since then at ERUUF and other congregations, schools and communities in NC. SCSRN’s mission is to promote justice and human rights in the third world with particular focus on San Ramon. There is an annual ERUUF and Friends cultural immersion ecotour to San Ramon that has included many ERUUFians.
SCSRN partners with San Ramon, Nicaragua to support education and community development initiatives that build friendship, understanding, environmental preservation and promote human rights. Learn more about SCSRN here.
The UU and Friends Cultural Immersion Ecotour to San Ramon, Nicaragua is held annually in February. Have the trip of a lifetime in rural Nicaragua where you will meet wonderful people, eat delicious meals, hike through the rainforest, harvest organic coffee, track down tropical birds and other wildlife, stay at an award winning ecolodge built with income from coffee sales at ERUUF, stay with a wonderful family, enjoy fascinating activities including music and dance performances. The trip fee provides income to all the local providers.
