Letter to the Congregation
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees would like to thank the members of the Ministerial Search Committee for their careful work on the search and their commitment to our congregation. We are proud to concur with their recommendation of Rev. Jacqueline Brett as the candidate for ERUUF’s Lead Minister.
We hereby announce a special meeting of the full congregation on January 30th to vote on the call of Rev. Jacqueline Brett as ERUUF’s next Lead Minister.
Candidating week will be held the last week in January. This will be the opportunity for ERUUF groups and members to meet with Rev Brett as the ministerial candidate and hear her vision for ERUUF’s ministry. Candidating week will be bookended by services lead by Rev Brett, and will culminate in a meeting of the full congregation. This special congregational meeting will be held after service on January 30th and will provide an opportunity for members to ask questions of the Ministerial Search Committee, discuss their thoughts about the committee’s recommendation, and will conclude with a congregational vote on the recommendation to call Rev Brett as ERUUF’s next lead minister.
In order to call a minister, our by-laws require that 25% of our members attend the special congregational meeting and that 80% of attending members vote in the affirmative. So please save the date and spread the word!
The congregational meeting on January 30th will be held virtually over Zoom. Detailed information and registration will be sent to all members in mid-January.
The Board of Trustees is excited to share this happy news with you and looks forward to joining in community with you at the congregational meeting on January 30th.
