DESCRIPTION:You are warmly invited to join us in the annual celebration of
El Día De Los Muertos.\nThis holiday occurs every year during the 3-day sa
cred season of Samhain\, the Cross Quarter exactly halfway between Autumn
Equinox and Winter Solstice. We'll gather outdoors on Sunday 1-Nov at 6pm.
\nSamhain is the time on the Great Wheel of the Year when the veil between
the worlds is believed to be thin\, when the door to the next world is op
en wide. All over Mother Earth\, people celebrate their ancestors at this
time with ofrendas ('offering-altars'). We will celebrate too\, honoring a
ll those on the other side who we revere and cherish. We'll welcome them i
nto our circle\, letting them know they are remembered and still loved.\nI
 f you wish\, please bring pictures\, mementos\, and/or symbols of the dear
ones you wish to honor\, including four-legged beloveds who have passed t
o the other side to place on our ofrenda. Please plan to bring a dish to s
hare\; gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian dishes are particularly welcomed.
Bring your own beverage.\nThis is a participatory gathering open to all th
ose ages 16 and older\, and to children ages 15 and younger who are accomp
 anied by a parent\, guardian\, or adult companion.\nRSVP Here\nFor more in
formation\, please contact the Eno River CUUPs. https://eruuf.org/calendar
