This is the first meeting to begin planning new silk panels for the sanctuary.
The silk river panels at the front of the sanctuary were created to celebrate ERUUF’s 50th anniversary and have become a beloved part of our worship space. In December, the panels will be taken down and stored to make way for seasonal decorations (don’t worry, they’ll appear again!). The camaraderie formed among the volunteers who lovingly designed and created the panels echoes this month’s worship theme of community; where the work of many hearts and hands created something much larger than any of the members could have imagined or achieved alone.
Continuing in this spirit, a new team is forming to create a new set of panels for the sanctuary. Led by Kelli Crispin, these panels will explore the themes of interconnectedness, intersectionality and diversity in cloth. There are many roles available in this collaborative effort and all are welcome, regardless of “artistic” skill or experience. Please plan to join in! If you can’t make the meeting or would like more information, please contact Kelli Crispin.
