Unitarian Universalists have long been known to work for Justice. On September 20 (check listings for time) UNC-TV will show a new Ken Burn’s documentary: Defying the Nazi’s: the Sharp’s War. Waitstill and Martha Sharp, a Unitarian minister and his wife from Wellesley, MA, were recruited by the Unitarian Service Committee in 1939 to rescue Jews and others from Nazi occupied Europe. Why do some people answer such radical calls to help? Does faith matter?

As a follow up to this viewing, join Rev. Xolani Kacela on Wednesday, September 28 at 7 pm for a workshop about Unitarian Universalists’ work for justice. Location to be announced.
