DESCRIPTION:The June Nontheist Group meetings will discuss Intelligent Desi
 gn which is a pseudoscientific 'theory of life' that states some living or
 ganisms are so complex that they must have been created by a 'designer' (r
 ead God). Some would argue that Intelligent Design is just another version
  of creationism. It is also in conflict with the scientific theory of evol
 ution. Proponents of creationism and intelligent design have been persiste
 nt in their efforts to get into the school curriculum to influence young m
 inds concerning their alternate “theory” to the scientific theory of evolu
 tion. The courts have struck down these attempts but that does not deter t
 hem from trying again.\n\nWe are a community of non-theists within the Uni
 tarian Universalist tradition. Together\, we explore the human experience 
 and support each other in personal growth and in working toward the greate
