Discover Your Body’s Power to Overcome Physical Pain

Recruit your body as an ally and reconnect to your body’s resources. Chronic pain is complex and individual and you can learn simple ways to shift the way your body feels towards balance and comfort as well as manage the related unnecessary suffering. As a group, we will read “Freedom from Pain: Discover Your Body’s Power to Overcome Physical Pain”* by Peter Levine and Maggie Phillips. We will practice the exercises in this book and go beyond. This class will be part discussion and highly experiential using focused breathing, felt sense, imagery and mindfulness.
We will meet 4 times on Thursday, May 2, 9, 16, 23 from 10:00 am to noon in room 1, CARE Building . Please register early on the form below.
