Interdependence of Environmental and Racial Justice: Exploring our 7th Principle
Through this 5 session course, we will increase our sensitivity to and awareness of specific governmental decisions/actions and their impact on the environment and on various communities in the area; increase our understanding of ERUUF’s impact on the local community and beyond: on vulnerable groups of people and on fragile ecosystems; feel encouragement to live out the 7th Principle (interconnected web); get beyond our individual personal blinders (inner work) to inform our actions relating to other cultures and to the environment; and come away with a foundation for being active in the community. This class is based on the UUMFE curriculum "Our Place in the Web of Life", and is organized by the Multicultural Team and Earth Justice Action Group. Participants are requested to commit to attending all 5 sessions.
