Multicultural Team Museum Tour: National Museum of the American Indian
While visitors can no longer roam the halls of most museums, virtual tools and online experiences allow us to explore various virtual exhibits from the comfort of our homes. The Multicultural Team is excited to announce our next venture! We will be participating in a series of self-guided, virtual museum tours and discussions. The series will feature four educational and thought-provoking exhibits with discussions to follow. If you need additional information, contact Diane Blount ().
November is designated as National Native American Heritage Month to highlight the history, heritage, traditions, and contemporary way of life of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians (AI/AN/NH). National Museum of the American Indian is an active and visible component of the Smithsonian Institution, the world's largest museum complex. The NMAI cares for one of the world's most expansive collections of Native artifacts, including objects, photographs, archives, and media covering the entire Western Hemisphere, from the Arctic Circle to Tierra del Fuego.
