Braiding Sweetgrass Group Read, March - April 2021, Virtual Gathering
Open to ERUUF members, friends, and family, this activity is part of ERUUF’s Green Sanctuary accreditation.

The ERUUF Earth Justice Action Group will sponsor a book reading and discussion this spring. We will read Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. This poetic, lyrical work, subtitled Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants, explores native ways of relating to the Earth. Ms. Kimmerer is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and a professor of environmental biology at SUNY.

Two groups will meet virtually during March and April to discuss the book; you may join either or both groups or switch between them. Financial assistance is available for acquiring the book. Another book reading and discussion (book yet to be selected) will be offered in fall 2021. Dates and times as follows. Click below to register.

Thursdays, 11:30 am (3/4, 3/18, 4/1, 4/15)
Saturdays, 2:30 pm (3/6, 3/20, 4/3, 4/17)
