Right Relationship: Practicing Covenantal Communication Saturday, 11/23/19, 8:30-11:30 am.
Unitarian Universalists often speak of “being in right relationship” with one another and practicing “covenantal communication” as a way to do so. What do these terms mean? How and why might we as leaders practice them in our groups, ministries, ERUUF community and personal lives? If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions or are interested in improving your interpersonal and group communication skills in general, you are encouraged to attend this aspirational, informative, and practical workshop offered by members of our Leadership Development Team to include our Lead minister, Rev. Deborah Cayer, Rose Auman with our Healthy Congregations Committee, and other members of our Leadership Development Team which includes Joy Birmingham, Denise Frizzell, and Steve Hall.
Transforming Conflict from the Inside Out Saturday, January 25, 2020
All ERUUFians are invited to upcoming the leadership development offering, “Transforming Conflict from the Inside Out.” This workshop is part of our emerging, “Leadership as a Transformational Path” series. In this workshop, we will explore leadership, conflict, and transforming conflict from multiple perspectives, beginning with the self and moving outward into our interpersonal relationships and teams/ministries. We will then explore the topics from the perspectives of membership within the covenantal communities of ERUUF and the UU faith tradition. The format will consist of short presentations, activities, reflections, and application exercises. Members of the Leadership Development Team (Joy Birmingham, Steve Hall, and Denise Frizzell) and their staff partner, Reverend Deborah Cayer will serve as the facilitators for this workshop.
