The Multicultural Team engages in these initiatives to further the goals of racial equity and inclusion:

Outreach to Community -the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) initiative currently meeting and conducting programs at NC Central University is making students and faculty at the school aware of UU values and principals

  • First Sunday Conversations holds discussions of current events/topics of interest to members on the first Sunday of each month

Beloved Conversations Workshops-  *Beloved Conversations is an experiential curriculum, developed by Mark Hicks and offered over eight 2-hour sessions, that provides a space to re-form/fuse the brokenness of racism into new patterns of thought and behavior ushering in social and spiritual healing.  Participants who have done some Dismantling Racism work at ERUUF and who wish to continue deeper conversations about diversity and multicultural issues meet monthly during the course of each workshop..
