It is pretty incredible to believe that it has now been 33 days since January 30, when this congregation voted Jacqueline Yvonne Cantey Brett the next Lead Minister of ERUUF. My heart continues to fill to bursting with profound gratitude and joy. And even my mother, who doesn’t quite understand Unitarian Universalism, is proud of you and her daughter. A moment that shall remain in my mind’s eye 'til the end of my days is that of the large video screen hanging in the Sanctuary with Zoom page after page of small square boxes of ERUUFians, young and old, celebrating the call of your new Lead Minister by dancing to the song, “Happy”:

Following the exuberant Congregational Meeting to call Reverend Brett, the Board got down to business and held a Finance Forum on Sunday, February 13th. The goal was to connect with ERUUFians about where we are financially, how we have both thrived and struggled in the face of many challenges, and to discuss how to move into the vision of possibilities that lay before us. What does it look like to move out of this pandemic-era contraction and into a time of growth? ERUUF Awarded Green Sanctuary Accreditation!

As highlighted last week, members of our Earth Justice Action Group and Green Sanctuary Team are excited to announce that our congregation was awarded UUA Green Sanctuary Accreditation on February 16, 2022! Countless members of the congregation completed 12 UUA-approved projects in four areas of congregational life between October 2018-December 2022! We also agreed to provide more information to those who would like to know more about our collective achievement.
