We have willing members of the committee who have demonstrated long-term commitments to keeping ERUUF gardens beautiful. They just need a coordinator.
Among its duties, the Garden Committee will
prioritize garden projects,
submit a budget request annually,
set up continuity of records for keeping garden knowledge in house, and
work with our administrator to decide when and for what tasks to retain outside help for landscape maintenance.
Coordination of volunteers who do much of the actual gardening work is done by the volunteer coordinator, a member of the garden committee; currently that person is Barbara Beaman. The committee works collaboratively, sharing tasks as needed, and in coordination with the Building and Grounds committee, currently chaired by Peter Romeyn. Members of the committee include Rick Searles, Ann Ringland, Beth Harvat, Nancy Henley, Barbara Beaman and Ruth Baker.
