Indigenous People's Day: A Deep Listening Revisited
Revs. Jacqueline Brett and Deborah Cayer
Music: Kate Lewis, piano

In this month of exploring relationships, we take a look at history and complexity that exist in our relationship with America's indigenous people. Member Julia Marrone, of Cherokee heritage, will share a reflection, and we center the work of incumbent United States Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo of the Mvskoke/Creek Nation.

The collection from this Sunday's offertory will benefit Emancipate NC, a local nonprofit organization that is working locally to dismantle structural racism and mass incarceration in North Carolina.  Donations may be made online via our secure Kindrid Giving site here (select Generosity Sunday from the dropdown menu).
