Rev. John Saxon with Rev. Jacqueline Brett
Modern human beings belong to the species or primates named Homo sapiens (Latin for wise man). But perhaps it’s walking, more than wisdom, that better characterizes human beings (Homo ambulans) as well as our more ancient human ancestors. Today’s worship service explores the spiritual aspects of walking, drawing on John’s experiences walking the Camino de Santiago as well as insights from Unitarian “saint” Henry David Thoreau and the Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh. Music presented by Kate Lewis on piano with cantor, Pam DiLavore.
