Music is a vibrant and dynamic element of ERUUF. To many, singing or playing an instrument is an essential and fulfilling way of expressing ideas, emotions, and spirituality. Members and friends of ERUUF have many diverse opportunities for participating in music during services and during special events.

The musical groups include an adult choir, a Beloved Community call and response choir, two youth choirs, several small singing ensembles, a folk music ensemble and two drumming groups. See Musical Groups.

Opportunities for solo performances, such as in Café ERUUF, exist as well.

What is Cafe ERUUF?

Café ERUUF is an opportunity for ERUUFians to perform for each other during a fun, family-friendly evening of fellowship. Performances can include vocal and/or instrumental music of all genres, stand up or sketch comedy, drama, poetic or literary readings, dance, juggling, magic, or any other performance art that can take place on the stage in front of a live audience. Everyone is welcome; no auditions are necessary, but it is important to sign up ahead of time. We also need volunteers to sign up for set up and clean up. Café ERUUF includes a potluck dessert, so all performers and audience members bring a dessert or snack to share. There is no charge to attend, but we ask for a small donation to cover the cost of beverages that we provide.

Café ERUUF strives primarily to be an evening of fun and fellowship; in keeping with ERUUF’s strategic plan to deepen our commitment to diversity, we will be designing the evening’s program with an eye toward Racial Equity and Inclusion.

TIME: 7 - 9:30 pm. Dates TBA. Contact Pam DiLavore
