February 2025 Theme: Inclusion

Many people find conflict in congregations difficult and disturbing, understandably. But there is a way to have disagreements that actually leads to growth and learning on everyone’s part. In communities with a diversity of perspectives it is particularly important to learn how to engage with difference in a healthy way.

The Rev. Dr. Terasa Cooley has been a UU minister for over 35 years, serving in both congregational and denominational capacities. She is an Accredited Interim Minister who specializes in working with congregations recovering from ministerial misconduct. She currently serves as the Developmental Minister at the UU Church in Columbus, OH. She is the author of “Conflict Transformation: the Blessings of Congregational Turmoil” published by Rowman Littlefield Press.
