Separation of Church & State Meeting
Our May meeting will focus on planning for the work that we need to do over the summer for our fall events.
We will be screening the documentary The Librarians on Sunday, October 4th, at 4pm. We plan to have a panel discussion after the screening. We need volunteers to work on getting 3 or 4 folks for the panel (we have a couple of leads), to come up with questions for the panel (the documentary’s website has suggestions), to publicize the event, etc. One of our goals is to educate people about issues surrounding separation of church and state (history, policy, court decisions, etc). Our second project is to come up with questions for a Trivia Night about separation of church and state. We need a group to work on this. Ideally questions will be multiple choice questions that provide an opportunity to educate with the wrong answers as well as the right answers.
