RENews:
This past Sunday, children and youth gathered to learn more about chalices and create more beautiful chalice art! They started by introducing themselves to the group, and sharing something they are excited about this week (many answers involved air conditioning)! Then, they listened to a story about the historical significance of the flaming chalice, and the different ways that chalices are used in Unitarian Universalism. Afterwards, children and youth created their own chalice artwork using tissue paper, glue, and markers. The artwork they made will be displayed in the sanctuary lobby in August.
We hope you can join us next week as we continue our Religious Education summer classes with a fun bubbles and slime class! And if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the second RE art display in the sanctuary lobby.
