Clarissa (she/her) has spent much of her career working toward more just, caring, and connected communities. Her work has taken many forms. From helping institutions think more deeply about race, equity, belonging, and how they care for their people, to organizing alongside communities and collectives working to build power and create change. Across it all, she is most interested in the places where relationships, systems, and justice meet and in helping people turn the values they hold into the ways they actually live and work together.
As ERUUF’s Justice Coordinator, Clarissa will work alongside the congregation’s Justice Ministry and community partners to connect people, deepen justice practice, and help move shared values toward meaningful action. She is especially excited to support a justice ministry that understands justice work as a loving practice from both inward and outward. bell hooks reminds us that “there can be no love, without justice.”
In her free time Clarissa enjoys spending time with her family, cutting a rug, and drinking tea accompanied by animal crackers.
