The Multicultural Team (MCT) is expanding ERUUF's response to help people in Durham experiencing food insecurity. The MCT is collecting food for the Emanuel Food Pantry (EFP), a weekly mobile food distribution service located at Iglesia Presbiterianna Emanuel (Durham Presbyterian Church). The EFP serves over 860 families every week.

On the first Sunday of the month, ERUUF’s collection goes to the Urban Ministries of Durham. The MCT/EFP food drive is focusing on the items most needed: breakfast cereals and protein. Beginning in March, this will be an ongoing food collection.

The collection schedule with the needed items is as follows:

Second Sunday (March 8): hot and cold breakfast cereals; EFP serves many families with children.

Third Sunday (March 15): all varieties of protein; cans/pouches of meat (tuna, chicken, salmon, ham), peanut butter, beans/legumes (pinto, black, garbanzo, lentils).

Please do not bring items in glass containers.
