We are pleased to announce that Alex Thompson (he/him) will be formally joining ERUUF beginning in August, as our permanent pianist for Sunday worship services and special events. Alex has been working as a substitute pianist at ERUUF since last year, following Kate Lewis's departure for health reasons.
Alex Thompson (he/him) is a professional pianist, as well as an award-winning music director, conductor, and sound designer for theatre. He worked Off-Broadway in 2019 and has worked extensively in regional theatre throughout New England and the Southeast over the course of his career so far. During June and July, Alex works as Music Supervisor and Artistic Associate at Hope Repertory Theatre in Michigan. In addition to music direction he also works in music production and engineering and co-owns/operates a recording studio in Chapel Hill.
