UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour - Friday, April 5th at 11:00am. Marking 10 Years since the Bathroom Bill. In the spring of 2016, the NC General Assembly passed HB2, a bill that required transgender individuals to use public bathrooms corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate. This week, Artie Hartsell will join us to discuss how the fight for Trans rights in NC has continued over the last decade.

The Gathering: Creating Hubs of Resilience, Monday, April 13th at 8:00pm. In the midst of extreme weather and climate disruption, our congregations and communities can be powerful hubs of care, connection, and critical infrastructure. Rachel Myslivy, Side With Love’s Climate Justice Strategist, will break down what we mean by “hubs of resilience” that are adaptive to and grounded in their context. Public Education Advocacy Day at the NC Legislature - Tuesday April 21st in Raleigh - 9:00am - 2:00pm in Raleigh. Sponsored by Every Child NC, Pastors for NC Children and Red Wine & Blue. The day will begin at Edenton Street United  Methodist Church and will then transition to a press conference and legislative visits at the General Assembly. Together, we will call for fully funded and resourced public schools to support all of NC's 1.5 million school children. Faith leaders are encouraged to wear stoles, collars, and/or other clerical attire. Register Here
