Dear Ones ~
It is with a sad heart that I let you know that Alice Alexander will be departing from her role as Director of Membership Development at the end of February, as she has decided to retire. The good news though is that she will continue to be present here at ERUUF as a member of the congregation. And for that, we can all be happy. I certainly am!
I had asked Alice to join our newly forming senior staff team as I began my call as ERUUF's Lead Minister. She has managed to take on things I had only been hoping I'd get to in the days when membership was a part of my portfolio. And she has excelled at all that she set her heart and hands to.
My belief is that we should leave a place at least as good as we found it, but it's awesome when we leave it much better. Alice has certainly done the latter in her work here on staff, which has allowed me to rest easy regarding the very detailed and attentive work involving our visitors and new members, and more besides!
While I am so very happy that she will continue to be here at ERUUF, I shall miss her greatly for all that she has brought to our staff team overall, for her diligent work as a "precrastinator " -- a word she taught us through her amazing capacity to plan for things -- her keen attention to detail, as well as the very welcoming presence she has been for all the new people who have crossed our threshold.
Please join me in offering Alice our collective gratitude as she shifts from being a staff member to once again being in the role of member of ERUUF.
And yes, we shall celebrate her! Stay tuned for details.
Rev. Jacqueline Brett
Lead Minister
