This spring, UU Forward Together is offering three one-day workshops on "Becoming a Justice-Making Congregation: Creating, Growing, and Nurturing Social Justice Ministry in UU Congregations" in eastern, central and western North Carolina.
"Becoming a Justice-Making Congregation" will give UU social justice leaders and activists the framework, tools, and skills they need to help their congregations assess their current work for social justice, engage in meaningful, relational, and transformative justice work, ground their social justice work in our shared faith and values, and increase the visibility, effectiveness, and impact of their justice work.
Members and friends of UU congregations, UU ministers, UU social justice leaders and activists including members of congregational social action/social justice committees, councils, or teams are encouraged to attend. Ministers and social justice leaders from other faith communities are also welcome.
The "Becoming a Justice-Making Congregation" workshop in central North Carolina will be held here at ERUUF on Saturday, March 23 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in the Commons Room.
Although there is no cost for attending this workshop, a suggested donation of $15 would be welcome to offset the cost of providing a light breakfast and lunch to those who pre-register before March 21, 2019.
An agenda, directions, and additional information about the workshop will be emailed to registered participants. Please share this information with others in your congregation and other faith communities who might be interested.
