The Multicultural Team (MCT) and Pride+ have partnered with Transforming Hearts Collective to create opportunities for awareness and embracing the full breadth of gender diversity. This program has been funded by a grant from the Eno River Fellowship Foundation.

Transforming Hearts Collective fosters resilience, healing, and long-term resources for the work of social change among queer and trans people, particularly young queer and trans people and queer and trans people of color, as well as to help faith communities practice radical inclusion and dismantle oppression in all of its forms.

Over six sessions, you will deeply explore the intersection of trans identity, spirituality, and the faith community while gaining the grounding, context, and skills to transform yourself and your congregation. Members of the congregation will work individually on the sessions and then meet for discussion after each session. Rev. Mykal Slack will offer intermittent sessions for participants to engage and gain a deeper understanding of the Trans and Non-Binary community. Rev. Slack has traveled the country sharing his expertise and lived experience helping to develop anti-oppressive frameworks for church communities. ERUUF has been fortunate to have developed a connection with Mykal and we are excited for his guidance and participation.
