Given current conditions (our littlest ones aren't yet vaccinated, along with immunocompromised people) we're planning for the most inclusive yet safe holiday services that we can imagine.

Sunday, December 12, Holiday Music Service - 11:00 am. Our adult choirs and groups are planning some special pieces for this Sunday, and we'll draw on a few previously made videos. This service will be live and in-person from the Sanctuary, and also will be live-streamed. If desired, the Chapel is available as a safer space for people who are unable to be vaccinated, including little ones and their parents.

Sunday, December 19, service from First UU Richmond, hosted in the ERUUF Sanctuary for in person attendees, and live-streamed for all. Ministers will welcome everyone, light our chalice, and call for ERUUF's Offering. If desired, the Chapel is available as a safer space for people who are unable to be vaccinated, including little ones and their parents.

For Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24 we'll offer two in-person options and ask you to register for either if you plan to attend. We will live stream the later service as well.

Christmas Eve Outdoor In-Person Service: Friday, December 24, 4:00 pm. Bring a chair to sit at a distance from each other on the plaza or lawn. We'll tell the Christmas story, sing a lot of carols, and pass the candlelight person to person before we sing Silent Night. This service cannot be live-streamed. It will end before dark for those who don't drive at night. All are welcome. Registration is requested (click the button below to register) so we can best configure the space; we're able to accommodate as many attendees as would like to be there.

Christmas Eve Indoor In-Person Service: Friday, December 24, 7:00 pm. This service will be live-streamed as well, but SPACE WILL BE LIMITED so you must register for seats in advance. We'll have 150 seats in the Sanctuary (some reserved for visitors) and 50 seats in the Fellowship Hall. At the end, the two groups will go outside to meet on the plaza and make one big "circle"--pass the light candle to candle and sing Silent Night. We do not recommend in-person attendance at this service for anyone who is unvaccinated.

Annual Kwanzaa Service: Sunday, December 26, 11:00 am live stream only. Enjoy this meaningful service of rituals, reflections, and music by NC Central's Jazz Studies program from the cozy comfort of home. This service is created and led by Rev. Jacqueline Brett, and other African American ERUUF people of color.
