In Conversation with Wendy Looker, Music Director

Wendy Looker is ERUUF’s new Music Director. She tells me that making music with others has always energized her. Wendy is particularly excited about the collaborative approach Rev. Jacqueline facilitates when they co- create meaningful worship experiences. As a member of the senior staff and worship team, Wendy serves as staff partner to ERUUF’s music groups as well as the sound team. As those who have been attending services know, she conducts both the Beloved Community Chorus and the Eno River Singers and has sung an occasional solo during service.

The expectation that REI and social justice work extend to the music ministry is what drew Wendy to ERUUF. She believes these values align well with her own as a choral artist.

Wendy grew up outside of Buffalo, NY. She adores snow! While coming from a Catholic family, as a choral conductor/singer she has made music in all kinds of worship spaces. ERUUF is an amazing community, Wendy says and she “couldn’t be happier to be here.”
